Over the past year, many Canadian societies have found new locations in which to hold their
meetings.
The
latest society to find a new venue is the British Isles Family
History Society of Greater Ottawa (BIFHSGO). They moved from
their former home at the Library and Archives Canada in downtown Ottawa to The Chamber,
Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive, Ottawa (formerly Nepean).
On
Saturday, March 14, 2015, there will be their regular meeting, and
then in the afternoon, they will have a special speaker from the
Ulster Historical Foundation (UHF).
The
morning session is free, as usual, but
the afternoon is offered for a fee of $10 per head.
Tickets
will be sold at the January and February BIFHSGO Monthly Meetings and
will also be for sale at the door on the day for as long as they
last. Seating is limited, so purchase your tickets early (and from personal experience, please do) to avoid disappointment.
The
two speakers from UHF presenting the series of lectures are
Gillian
Hunt and Fintan Mullan.
